Let me introduce to you a branch of web development that is being spearheaded by people who make websites.
This is my first article for the series What’s Up My Alley and this is also my first entry for the App Your Alley blog.
This series will try to define what I actually do. I like categorizing myself into the Web Consultant umbrella because my years of experience have granted me with a handful of knowledge on what to do with your online goals – be it personal or business.
Under that ambiguous umbrella is web programming and it is absolutely where I started.
What does a programmer do?
Base on Techopedia, Web Programming refers to the writing and coding involved in web development.
Programmers like me are the ones who write commands for the things that you see online like computer games, a website or an app, audio & video streaming and even those pesky ads.
In short, people who make websites make things happen.
But we don’t necessarily plan these things to display and react like they do. Continue reading to learn more about what a programmer can or can not help you.
Can people who make websites help me with other things?
Some programmers are just that, programmers. They will take in your design and write programs to make it into a utility for you and your users.
But some programmers gets so passionate that they branch out to other areas of web development. Some programmers can help you out with design, SEO or even digital marketing.
For me, it was one of those career growths that I could not cage. I have already been through a lot of projects to know what works and what doesn’t work. Putting what I learned into practice was the next right thing.
